Vintage photoetching. 1938. Printed 1938. Signature stamp, verso. 12 1/16 x 9 1/16 in. (306 x 230 mm). Sheet Size: 12 1/16 x 9 1/16 in. (306 x 230 mm). Photoetchings are similar to photogravures/relief etchings. Bird and his contemporaries used this technique as a medium for original expression, rather than as a method of reproduction.
