Bank of the Metropolis check for twenty dollars Signed, "Charles Goodyear." 6 3/8" x 2 1/4". Black. Washington D.C. June 2, 1860. punch cancellation does not affect Goodyear's signature. It should be noted that this check is dated less than one month prior to Goodyear' death.
