EUROPEAN OILS ON CANVAS, PAIR, C. 1900, 13" X 16", UNSIGNED, MONKS:One depicting a monk holding a wine flask and wine glass, the other depicting a monk holding cards; gilt molded gesso original frames.

Condition report

Both blacklight clean; both paintings and frames need cleaning (black back section of the frames may have been added later); the monk painting with wine glass has a few nicks in the paint and stretcher bar cracking of the paint developing and the frame is damaged with losses; the monk painting with the cards has stretcher bar impressions developing in the paint, frame with some cracks and and slight chips.
