Highly Polished Celt, Black Hardstone Axe of 7.5 x 2.25 x 1.75 inches. Approximately 2000 years old. Together with a specialist scooped axe head, probably for dug out boats. The consignor states that these items were found by her Grandfather in the river near Hartford, Connecticut in or around 1910.
