TOBACCO BOX.
Dutch. Engraved brass tobacco box with a "1761" calendar on one side with portraits of the king and queen and on the other side, a chart to measure a ship's speed (a "log timer"). "Regt Door Zet" on one side refers to both a ship and a navigation school in Amsterdam run by Peiter Holm, who possibly sold boxes like this. Expected wear and damaged hinges. 7"l.
