TWO-PIECE LATE CLASSICAL CHEST OF DRAWERS AND MIRROR.
American. Second quarter 19th Century. Figured mahogany veneer, poplar and pine with old crazed finish. Appears to be all original. Ornately scalloped crown molding over swing mirror flanked by upright narrow cabinets, all trimmed with beaded molding and resting on handkerchief drawers and marble surface. The chest has three bookend veneer drawers and shaped skirt. The well-figured veneer has minor loss and repair. 19 1/2"d. 43 3/4"w. 83 1/2"h.
