Dated 1890. Depiction of Buffalo Bill on his horse, Charlie. Good surface and patina.15 3/4"h. Born in Russia to wealthy American parents, Winans was an expatriate living in England and an Olympic medal-winning marksman, winning the gold in 1908 and the silver in 1912. He authored numerous books on shooting, including The Art of Revolver Shooting in 1901.
