Oil on canvas, unsigned. Three-quarter length portrait of a lady holding a feathered hat. Minor losses to frame. 36 1/4"h. 28 1/4"w. Period gesso and gilt frame, 43 1/2"h. 35 1/2"w.

Condition: Thick overvarnish has yellowed, minor losses to right side of frame. George Rowney and Company stenciled mark on the canvas with addresses dating to 1862-1881.
