ABT: Lionel #3512 Fire & Ladder/Flat/Short Lens

Paul V. Ambrose and Drew J. Bauer present: This is the #3512 Fire & Ladder Car that Lionel made circa 1959. It is a very early, possibly a pre-production model, with a unique flat and shortened red lens cap and the appropriate "nipples" that lock into the light assembly. Only the second example that we have ever seen. We, along with the late and respected variation collector Harry Lovelock, were present when this item was purchased nearly 20-years ago. A typical lens is shown in several of our pictures for comparison. No Nozzles and No Box. Our Opinion is that it is generally in Like New Condition. All Original in our Opinion.
