Paul V. Ambrose and Drew J. Bauer present: This is the #6446-25 Black-Painted Norfolk & Western Covered Hopper that Lionel made circa 1955. In Lionel phraseology this is considered a Cement car. The cover is also black-painted over gray plastic. This is one of the more difficult Covered Hoppers especially with the -25 box. Our Opinion is that it is generally in Excellent Plus Condition, minor signs of use and age, along with some box rubs. The Original 55- Middle Classic Box is in (8) Condition. All Original in our Opinion. Please add $10.00 for US-48 Shipping and Insurance.
