Paul V. Ambrose and Drew J. Bauer present: This is the #3650 Searchlight Extension Car with Crank that Lionel made in the later 1950s. This is not only the dark-gray version (instead of the light-gray base), but the much rarer variation with a distinctly different "olive" tint to the dark-gray paint. An extremely difficult piece to obtain. Our Opinion is that it is generally in Like New Minus Condition, minor signs of use, age, and handling. No Box. All Original in our Opinion.
