1950//1951, Lot of 2 Austrian Balloon Post Flown Covers This lot includes a privately printed airmail cover with a red color cachet of two children looking at the new Austrian "child village" (translation) nest to a stone on which the date that the cornerstone was laid, April 22, 1950, is engraved, a "Balloon Post, Graz1" arrival cancel dated 28.5.1950 and one 1s and one 60g Republik Osterreich postage stamps, and a "Wien 65 407" stamp; this cover is addressed to Otto Grunszky, Auto-Taxi, Wien, Viil., Schonborng. 6/1. The second cover in this lot is a privately printed airmail cover with a blue and brown cachet of two boys and an adult participating in a "volunteer ground breaking" (translation) for an Austrian "child village" (translation), a "Balloon Post, Villach" arrival cancel dated 26.3.1951, one 1s and one 45g, one20g, one 15g Republik Osterreich postage stamps, and a "Wien Kalksburg 041 a" stamp. Modest toning due to age, but in very good condition.
