Brenda Starr #1 Complete 34-page Story Original Art (Dell, 1963). Complete interiors to Brenda Starr #1 consisting of the 32-page story plus two inside covers. Brenda receives a pair of black orchids like the ones she gets from her beloved, Basil St. John, but they're actually laced with poison and sent by her rival for his affections, the beautiful female botanist, Olga Volga. In the end, as always, Brenda gets her man. While not drawn by creator, Dale Messick, the artist ghosts her style to perfection, especially the inside front cover which depicts and describes the entire cast. A fabulous lot for a fan of this long-running strip. Each page measures 12" x 18", and the pages average Very Good condition. A copy of the printed comic is included in this lot.
