Bogomir BOGDANOVIC (Yugoslavian/American , 1923) Winter Central Park. Oil on board, signed "Bogomir Bogdanovic". Size: 23.5 X 18 in., frame 31 X 25 1/4 in. Bogomir Bogdanovic was born in Senje, Yugoslavia in 1923. He studied art and architecture at Belgrade University. In 1957 Bogdanovic moved to the U.S. His work has been exhibited at the National Academy, N.Y Kennedy and Grand Central Galleries, N.Y; PAFA; Sessler Gal.,Phila.; other. Bogdanovic has held over fifty one-man shows at the Quadrangle and Southwest Galleries in Dallas, Texas. He has received over forty awards for his work, including the Charles Dana Medal from the Pennsylvania Academy; a silver medal from the American Watercolor Society; a gold medal from the National Arts Club; the 1993 silver medal from Audubon Artists; many others. His watercolor "Whispering Brook" is included in the book The Best of watercolors 1995.
