Notes: Bound in the signature chocolate brown cloth bindings with gilt embossing, this antique set is a scarce early printing of this American classic. The title pages bear the identification "Thirtieth Thousand." The work is illustrated with frontispiece portraits and endpapers of first volume have pasted clipped portraits of the author. The volumes show mild external wear, and are solidly bound with clean, lightly age toned pages. The books measure approximately 5.25" x 7.75". Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $4.50
