Mali, Dogon. A very slim and tall female figure with the arms carved in relief placed on the abdomen. Crested coiffure with a plait broken off. Sacrification pattern on shoulder and back. The right foot and the cracked base damaged by termites. Very old figure with minor cracks and fine encrusted patina. H. ca. 50 cm. Provenance: Acquired 1966 from L. Bretschneider, Munich. Old collection label.
