Guinea / Liberia, Toma. Mask decorated with high coiffure and two horns protruding from the forehead. Slit eyes, long straight nose and protruding lozenge mouth. Forehead and sides with ornamental pattern. Very small damage by termites, slightly glossy encrusted black patina with traces of use. Remains of white and red pigmentation. Wood, H. ca. 34 cm. Provenance: Acquired 1979 from L. Bretschneider, Munich.
