Liberia, Dan. Mask, the protruding snout with carved teeth and pierced jaws, the beard with applied fringe of monkey fur, the slit-eyes with sheet. Metal borders and a small metal projection to the head, pierced around the border for attachement. Dark and very magnificant partly encrusted and glossy patina. H. ca. 25 cm, with snout measuring ca. 30 cm. Provenance: Acquired 1977 from Stella Pitt-Rivers, London.
