Ivory coast, Senufo/Tusia. Very rare and fine bush-cow mask, wearing to the both sides bush-cow horns, fixed with natural fibres. Stylised mask with a face at the front and two wooden horns. At the back three stylised birds to plug. Wood, brown/grey, fine glossy patina in some areas. H. ca. 65 cm, W. ca. 55 cm. Wear and tear, partially small chips. Provenance: Acquired 1980 from Stella Pitt-Rivers, London.
