Ivory coast, Senufo. Very fine standing female figure. Small heart-shaped face. Sacrification pattern at the cheeks. Left ear pierced. H. ca. 26.5 cm. Some tiny cracks, rear base eroded by termites, glossy brown patina. Provenance: Acquired 1968 from L. Bretschneider, Munich. According to him the figures were acquired from a French collection, built before 1930. Old collection label.
