Ivory coast, Guro. A female mask with fine incised coiffure. Sacrification pattern on the forehead, pearced slit eyes, the long small nose slightly pointed, open mouth with carved teeth. Wood, glossy brown/black patina with remnants of white pigmentation. H. ca. 29 cm. Provenance: Acquired 1979 from L. Bretschneider, Munich.
