Rare and Important Trophy Cane-C. 1875-Direct International shipping is not available for this item from the auction company. This Item will only be shipped within United States by the auction company. Arrangements may be made with a U. S .Fish and Game official exporter The item was legally imported into the United States. Elephant ivory.
The top of the line with two precisely carved ivory birds, ivory end cap, one piece trophy horn shaft and a brass ferrule- This cane was probably a keepsake for a great Safari hunter OL.35 "-$2,000-$3,000
On one of the birds you can see a hole. This hole appears to have been in the cane since the day it was carved. It might be the core of the ivory which has been rounded. If the buyer would like the hole restored with an ivory plug that would be very possible and I know knowledgeable
ivory restorers that can do that for you. You have to make the decision.
This is a wonderfull piece of art.
