Staffordshire cats on pillows, 7 1/4".Pair.

Both cats with sponged dark brown and caramel glazes wearing gold "bow" collars, seated on brown and green cushion with gold tassels and stripe. Front legs are free standing. Reverse side undecorated. Left-facing cat stamped "Staffordshire Ware England" in iron red on bottom. Right-facing cat is stamped "England" in iron red on bottom.
Condition: Fine craquelure noted overall. One cat in good condition with several minor losses to brown glaze on cushion. The other cat with prior damage and repair. The damaged cat is missing Two (2) pieces, One (1) on the reverse near base of tail and One (1) on the base behind a front tassel (neither visible when viewing the front). Base had been broken in Two (2) and glued back together, One (1) front leg glued and Three (3) of Four (4) tassels chipped. One tassel glued. One minor loss to brown glaze on base front.
