Archive grouping of manuscript material concerning mid 19th century light manufacturer Robert Cornelius. Archive features: 6-1840's stampless-cover letters written to Cornelius and associates concerning ordering of lighting, 2-1850's stampless cover letters to Cornelius and associates concerning ordering of lighting, 3-small vignettes of Cornelius & Bakers buildings at Cherry St and at Columbia Ave. (removed from city directory), 7-printed/manuscript receipts for lighting material from Cornelius & Baker (1839-1870). Various condition. Cornelius was a well known Philadelphia manufacturer of lighting as well as a pioneer in American photography. (18pcs.)
