Color offset lithograph. 1951. Signed in pencil, lower right. Wide (full?) margins. 4 1/4 x 7 1/2 in. (108 x 190 mm). Sheet Size: 7 8 x 1/4 5/8 in. (178 x 371 mm). Fine condition. This example was printed in 1965 and bears a complimentary signature. In 1950, Wilson received a a John Hay Whitney scholarship to Mexico, and like Charles White and Elizabeth Catlett before him, he enrolled in La Esmeralda School in Mexico City to study mural painting. He also completed a small group of lithographs depicting Mexican manual laborers working in the streets (Courtesy Swann Galleries).
