Author: Sparks, Will Description: 24 (of 25) 4x5½ color prints mounted on stiff cards with 4¾x6¼ text sheet mounted below.During the 1930s Will Sparks, one of California's most important painters, set out to create paintings of all of the California Missions, completing the task just days before his death in 1937. The entire collection of paintings was once owned by Alma de Bretteville Spreckels and was, in 2007, on display at the Leland Stanford Mansion on loan from Trotter Galleries of Carmel.
