First Edition.First edition, in original parts. Each part bound with the "Our Mutual Friend Advertiser" plus several other slips and inserts. Additional slip, not called for by Hatton and Cleaver, tipped in at rear of Part 5 advertising J.F. Dunn's City Book Mart. Part 2 a later printing with ads dated November, 1865 at rear. Part 6 lacking slip for Wilkie Collins' Armadale. Part 7 lacking slip for Kaye's Worsdell's Pills. De Jongh's ad at rear of Part 9 with last line reading "much fatigue..." Part 11 lacking Headless Horseman slip. Part 12 lacking 2 slips at front and with ads at rear matching those called for in Part 1 but without De Jongh's ad. Part 13 with 3 ads not called for at rear. Part 14 lacking slip to follow plates and Mappin, Webb ad at rear. Part 15 with only De Jongh's and Keating's ads at rear. Part 16 lacking Mappin, Webb ad. Part 18 lacking slips at front.
