"Inauguration 1961" License Plate from JFK's Inaugural

"INAUGURATION 1961," District of Columbia License Plate, Choice Extremely Fine.
6" x 12" license plate with reflective red-white-blue lettering on metal, with icons of flag and the Capitol Building, and wording: "DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA 4344 INAUGURATION 1961"--the year that JFK was inaugurated! Plate has yellowed somewhat--indicating that it was actually mounted on a car bumper--mounting remnants on the back, but the printing on the front is still bright and vibrant. We are not certain who owned this license plate, but it was undoubtedly a politician or elected official based in Washington during the 1960s.
