Cash Register "Penny Saver" Mechanical Registering Bank

c. 1880, Mechanical Registering Bank, Cash Register Style "Penny Saver", Cast Iron with Brass trim, with Original Old Patina, Choice Extremely Fine.
This is an authentic example of this very Rare bank which is in excellent, original working condition, measuring 5.5" high x 5.25" wide x 5" deep. The coin is inserted in the top. When the lever is pushed, a bell rings and the number in the right window advances. Changing the dollar amount in the left window requires coins to be dropped. No manufacturer's name is evident, but a paper sticker on the base indicates this bank is from the Mosler Collection. There is also a much older sticker on the base, which is now unreadable. This is the first bank of this type we have offered.
