John Lennon Signed Artwork for No9 dream With a pencil drawing of the positioning of John Lennon's head which ended up as the colour photograph on the album cover, along with credits and album release number pasted on the design stamped Capitol records inc. and signed in pencil by John Lennon with a smiley face doodle, the positioning drawing is also in Lennon's hand. On the reverse of the board a pop art approval includes the names of the legal project manager, the producer etc. A handwritten note also states "change publishing Notice to 1974 EMI records limited" A second note states " Get clearance for Elton John and Nielson" (Who also appeared on the album). Included with this lot are 2 b/w unpublished photographs of John Lennon. One showing John wearing 5 pairs of glasses (final cover had 4), 11"x14", the second a b/w portrait similar to the published cover 8"x10". This artwork has an alternate reference number in the right hand corner and the credits are also different to the published finished album cover. Estimate GBP2000-2500 USD4000-5000
