8" High Chimu avian bottle from Peru Circa 1100-1450AD this highly burnished blackware vessel features a finely detailed parrot seated atop the chamber. The manner in which he is seated and the molded mantel over his shoulders show him to be a Shamans spirit animal or a bird deity. Excellent condition with good mineral deposits.
