CHILD'S CHIPPENDALE SLANT-FRONT DESK.
New England, ca. 1770-1780, pine. Fitted interior over three drawers and resting on bracket feet. Retains a 19th century brown over cream paint decoration. Imperfections. 32 1/4"h. 30"w. 18 1/2"d. 21 1/2"h. writing surface. Sold at Garth's, September 1-2, 2006, lot 445.

Condition: Replaced but period brasses with some later posts (not original holes), losses, surface wear, lower 2.5" of front-right foot facing replaced, interior with some renailing/restoration to drawers and valences. Interior has an old pencil inscription "Made in 1772 for Eber.... ........ when 10 years old".
