Elizabeth Brown Woodaman, possibly Canadian, 1822, silk thread on linen ground. Moral verse above pyramidal baskets and flowering trees. Signed "Elisabeth Brown Woodaman Halifax National School May 6th 1822". 20 3/4"h. 11 1/2"w., framed, 26 1/2"h. 14 1/2"w. The Woodaman name is found around Halifax in early Nova Scotia. Condition reportCondition: Minor toning at edges, a few light spots, area of loss to linen fabric and color loss to what may have been pink or yellow.
