Oil on canvas, signed on back. Well-done portrait of a woman in black with a white bonnet. Pen and ink on the back "Taken in 1840 by Samuel Johnson of Binghamton, NY". Revarnished, otherwise as found condition. 30"h. 25"w., in a worn gilt frame, 37"h. 32"w.
