BLANKET CHEST.
Probably New England, late 18th-early 19th century, pine. Hinged lid with applied molding over two false and two thumb molded drawers. Never fit with pulls but retains parts of its original snipe hinges. Cutout ends, applied bracket facing, and an older dark finish. Minor repairs. 43 1/2"h. 39"w. 19"d.

Condition: Age split on one side, surface stratches on finish and foot facings have nailed repair. Drawer lip restoration, drawer support restoration, added corner blocks on drawer interiors.
