SET OF FOUR TRANSITIONAL SIDE CHAIRS.
Attributed to Rhode Island, mid 18th century, likely maple. Oxbow crest above vasiform splat, flat stiles, molded and scalloped seat rails enclosing rush seat. Block and baluster turned front legs and reel and ball front stretcher. Twentieth century black painted surface. Minor repairs. 17"h. seat, 38"h. overall. Ex Lillian Kogan-Blankley.

Condition: We respectfully request that you inspect these in person - the 18th century attribution is just that. They may be Victorian in age. Pegged repair at crest. Split in seat rail. Wear to wood throughout as well as minor paint chipping.
