PAINTING OF THE SCHOONER JESSIE BOUNDS BY REGINALD NICKERSON (AMERICAN, 1915-1999).
Oil on canvas, signed lower right. Depicts the schooner flying an American flag. 21"h. 34"w. in a gilt frame. 25 1/4"h. 38 1/4"w.

The ship was built in Orange, Texas, 1917 by the International Shipbuilding Company and was lost at sea while bound for England, 1919.

Condition: Light staining in the sky. 1/4" x 1/4" stain in the upper right. Paint loss in sails and sky in several small areas (less than 1/4" by 1/4" each).
