TWO LANDSCAPES WITH HOUSES (AMERICAN, 19TH CENTURY).
Includes an oil on academy board (pictured), signed lower right "J.R. Nelson" and dated 1897, depicting a winter scene, minor scratch, 6"h. 8"w., in a period, gilt frame, 8 1/2"h. 10 1/4"w.; and an oil on canvas, unsigned, possibly Southern, depicting a rural landscape with African-American figures, cracquelure, 5"h. 8 5/8"w., in a period frame, 6 7/8"h. 10 7/8"w.
