PAINTED BLANKET BOX.
Midwestern, early 19th century, poplar. Six-board dovetailed case and dovetailed feet, bone escutcheon, and well shaped base. Retains original red painted surface. Minor surface loss. 25 1/2"h. 49"w. 22"d.

Condition: Loss on escutcheon. Missing till lid. The paint is missing from base molding down.
