TIFFANY DOUBLE POSTED STUDENT LAMP.
Tiffany Studios, New York, New York, Ca. 1870-1900. The base shows remnants of an original copper wash over brass (double patinae with copper wash and is # D1023). Signature all-over rope and bead design applied. This pattern is sometimes refered to as "ovoid windows." Replaced burners are rago type. Holes in body are from factory conversion of oil to electric. The 10" shades are pink cased, vertical ribbed, period to the base. Lamp is 29"h. x 27 1/2"w. See Tiffany Lamps and Metal Ware by Alastair Duncan, pg 16, fig 21.
