First half 19th century. Simple portrait of a woman wearing a white Empire type dress, blue striped shawl and coral bead necklace. Glued to the backing is a printed label Susanna Woolfit, Preacher of the Gospel. Minor loss of paint and an age split. Papier mache frame with brass acorn hanger. 5 1/4"h. 4 1/4"w.
