American, 19th century, tin. Original painted designs on black ground. The smaller is pictured with a smoked white decorated band. Surface wear. 8"w. 4"d. 4 3/4"h. Ex Betty Dorow. The larger has has red flowers and green foliage on a white band. Heavy varnish has alligatored. Minor damage. 8 3/4"w. 5"d. 5 1/2"h.
