PORTRAITS OF A LADY AND GENTLEMAN ATTRIBUTED TO ONE OF THE "FOUR OHIO FOLK ARTISTS" (OHIO, 19TH CENTURY).
Pencil and watercolor on paper, unsigned. Profile portraits of a handsome gentleman and a lady wearing a bonnet. Even toning. 11 1/4"h. 9"w. (sight), in matching gilt frames, 14"h. 11 3/4"w. Of the Four Ohio Folk Artists, the present pair of portraits appear to more closely relate to the work of Manly Nehemiah Whipple (1814-1883).
