Oil on poplar panel, signed on verso and dated 1862. Oval portrait of General Washington, surrounded by "Sacred to the Memory of Washington", with a memorial "plaque" and verse below. Minor losses. 12"h. 7 7/8"w.

Condition: Scattered paint losses (all minor), loss to the lower-right corner of the panel, only slightly affecting the verse. Slight cupping to the panel.
