This Italian marble composite sculpture is a medium size replica of Giambologna's sculpture "The Rape of the Sabine Women" by Giambologna. This statue represents the struggle between the Romans and the native Sabine people according to Roman mythology. Measures 18 1/2" tall by 5 1/2" wide. Condition good. Sold together with a pair of bookends that resemble Roman ruins. Each measures 8 1/2" high by 4 1/2" wide. Condition good. See images.
