Old English porcelain syrup pitcher or jug with a Hanley pewter lid, depicting two mythological scenes, Diomed casting his spear against Mars and Fight for the body of Patroclus. Measures 7 1/4" high by 5 3/4" wide. Numbered 9768. Pewter lid is stamped with a hallmark and H. Hall Hanley. Some crazing along with minor surface scratches due to use. Condition good, see images. Approx. weight 3 lbs.
