watercolor, gouache, and pencil on paper (laid down), signed lower right "Kisling," inscribed in margin "Bateau aux Environs de St. Tropez – M. Kisling," painterly sketch of a lone boat along the French shore, matted and framed under glass. We wish to thank Jean Kisling for providing his expert opinion on this work. Mr. Kisling has viewed photographs and slides of this watercolor and believes it to be by his father, Moise Kisling. However, as he has not seen the work in person, it has not been fully authenticated. Correspondence between Mr. Kisling and the gallery will be made available for potential bidders and the purchaser.
