Vintage gelatin silver print. c1952. Printed c1952. Signed and titled in red pencil on verso. 10 1/8 x 13 in. (257 x 330 mm). Foxing to verso, not evident through recto. Provenance: Morris Berman Estate. Winner of the William Randolph Hearst Annual Photographic Prize for 1952, and the Western Pennsylvania Safety Council's Photo Contest. Images by Berman rarely appear on the market. His editions were tightly controlled, sometimes printed only for family and friends and to give as gifts. His most famous photograph is the iconic "Y.A. Tittle Toppled.".
