Aspiration.

Vintage photoetching. 1938. Printed 1938. Signature stamp, verso. 10 7/8 x 8 1/4 in. (276 x 210 mm). Sheet Size: 11 5/8 x 9 1/2 in. (295 x 241 mm). Photoetchings are similar to photogravures/relief etchings. Bird and his contemporaries used this technique as a medium for original expression, rather than as a method of reproduction.
