Vintage photoetching. 1938. Printed 1938. Signature stamp, verso. 10 7/8 x 8 7/8 in. (276 x 225 mm). Sheet Size: 11 1/2 x 9 1/2 in. (292 x 241 mm). Photoetchings are similar to photogravures/relief etchings. Bird and his contemporaries used this technique as a medium for original expression, rather than as a method of reproduction.
